The match started with both teams playing good passing football and things were evenly matched, with competitive play in midfield and defences largely on top. Wantage took the lead when a fine Sean Cooper through ball allowed Aiden Collins to score from close range. The second goal came following a great Luke Ulyatt run down the right with his cross being turned in by a Didcot defender for an own goal. 2-0 at half time.
Didcot started strongly in the second half and created some great chances from corners. But Wantage made the game safe when Sean Cooper turned and shot home from the edge of the box. Luke Ulyatt scored the next after a typical surging run and Sean Cooper got his second when he latched on to a fine through ball. Didcot continued to press forward and went close on a number of occasions, including a shot against the bar and a header off the line. However on the day Wantage were too strong and made the most of their chances.
