PUPILS at the village school made a detailed study of road and canal bridges in 1965, then staged an exhibition of stories, drawings and models. Ian Blunsdon, 11, and Robert Berry, 10, are seen with one of the model bridges they had made.
In 1961, not all lessons at the school were held indoors. Pupils had to look after ducklings, which they had raised themselves.
The third picture dates from 1966 when the foundation stone of the new school was laid. The vicar, the Rev RG Bennett, looks on as Mrs H R Budgett, of Kirtlington Park, a former school manager, sets the stone in place.
