GARAGE cashier Clare Kuszmar had a smashing time – knocking down the place where she worked.
Clare, 24, of Ferry Road, New Marston, Oxford, worked for Hartford Motors at Seacourt Tower, in Botley, where extensive demolition and rebuilding work was being carried out in 1987.
She kept pestering the workmen on the site to let her have a go on the 40-ton, 125ft-high crane, and eventually they gave in and allowed her to take the controls.
She told the Oxford Mail afterwards: “It was absolutely fantastic. I’ve always wanted to do something like this.”
