Police today appealed for help after a 17-year-old girl had her finger broken in a bag snatch in Bicester.
At about 10pm on Saturday, the girl was standing with a friend outside Bicester Town Football Club in Oxford Road, when someone approached her, snatched her handbag from her and ran away.
The brown leather handbag contained a black Samsung Taco mobile phone, small brown chequered make-up bag, large leopard print purse containing £25, and some house keys.
PC Robert Hopping said: “When her bag was snatched from her, the girl sustained a broken finger.
“It was dark so we don’t have a description of the thief but would ask that anyone who witnessed this incident to get in touch and ask anyone with any information to contact me.”
Anyone with any information about the incident can contact PC Hopping at Bicester police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you don’t want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
