Ian Moss of Butchers Arms will be bidding for a double at the Greene King Oxford and District Summer League finals at Rover Social Club on Friday, November 13.
Moss will attempt to add the summer singles title to the Winter League crown he won in June.
He came through a tough play-off at the Chequers Inn, defeating defending champion Kevin Wilkins (Shears) in the quarter-finals and then seeing off Simon Tricker (Railway Social Club) in the semis.
He will come up against Martin Breakspear (College Oak), who will be appearing in his first final.
Breakspear beat teammate Rob Cook 2-1, winning his first leg in just 14 darts (60, 60, 180, 140, 65) before going on to defeat Nick Cobb 2-1 in an exciting semi-final.
The ladies singles trophy will have a new name on it this year as both finalists got through for the first time. Carol Harwood (Florence Park CC) will take on Trish Howard (Folly Bridge Inn).
The men’s pairs final will see the Cowley Workers duo of Lyndon Richards and Simon Powell up against Matt Smith and Martin Turnbull from Steventon Social Club.
The ladies pairs final brings together the Shelley Arms duo of Denise Pape and Pat Newman against Clare Bywaters and Tina Hamilton (Florence Park CC).
Tickets (£2) for the finals are available from the Three Horseshoes, Old Marston.
