John Tanner’s answer to the question of whether Oxford’s authorities are doing enough on climate change (The Issue, October 26), makes me question how he can expect the public to accept his views, when his words begin ‘We need to create a Low Carbon Oxford’.
All too often our city council talks then walks.
I wrote a few months back that the public needed encouragement – with the council setting an example.
Talk is not action. No one doubts it is a difficult task, but lots can be achieved by a few simple measures, which could make the public more aware that we all have to do our bit.
Collectively lots of small bits add up to a big bit.
