A 53-year-old man was robbed while walking through East Oxford.
The man was punched in Circus Street at about 1.30am yesterday and his mobile phone and wallet were stolen by three men.
One of the robbers was white, and was wearing a grey hooded top, grey tracksuit bottoms and riding a bicycle.
He was with a man who was about 5ft 7ins tall, in his 20s, with short, spiky hair. He was wearing a black jacket.
There is no description of the third man.
Dc Claire Argent said: “The robbers were seen running off in the direction of Iffley Road.
“There were a few people around at that time of night and I urge anyone with any information that could help police with their investigation to get in touch.”
