A man who stayed in a pub poker tournament longer than he expected has admitted drink-driving.
Terrance Woodward, 60, of Rahere Road, Cowley, was banned from driving for 16 months by Oxford magistrates on Thursday.
He was stopped in a Citroen in Westbury Crescent, Cowley, at 10.40pm on September 17 after drinking four bottles of beer. He had 150mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood. The legal limit is 80mg.
The ban can be cut to a year if he takes a drink-drive rehabilitation course.
He was also fined £120, and told to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
