Two people have been remanded in custody on drugs charges after heroin worth up to £30,000, some of which is alleged to have been posted from Pakistan, was found.
Safana Ijaz, 18, of Danvers Road, Rose Hill, is charged with possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply and importation of Class A drugs.
Kashif Zaman, 25, also of Danvers Road, is charged with importation of Class A drugs.
Oxford magistrates heard today a package sent from Karachi to an address in Henley Street, East Oxford, was intercepted by customs in Coventry and found to contain about 640g of heroin. Police also searched the address and found between four and six ounces of the drug.
The defendants were remanded in custody until November 18.
