Police tonight appealed for information after an attempted robbery in Chalgrove which happened on Monday.
Between 12am and 12.30am a man was walking near to the memorial gardens in the High Street when he was pushed from behind by a man who tried to steal his iPod.
The man didn’t get the iPod and the victim ran home.
The man was white, 5ft 10in to 6ft tall and of a slim build. He was wearing a black flat rimmed baseball cap, black zip up hooded top with ‘Schott’ written on it, dark blue jeans and white Adidas trainers.
Det Con Dominique Roffey said: “I am keeping an open mind as to whether this is linked to a burglary that happened in the area on the same night, but am following up every line of enquiry.
“There were a few people around at that time of the night and I urge anyone with any information that could help us with our investigations to get in touch.”
Anyone with any information about the incident to contact Det Con Roffey at Thame police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you don’t want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
