Jacquie Walton is one of Oxfordshire’s most prolific writers. She writes crime novels as Faith Martin, but her latest book, River Deep (Robert Hale, £18.99) is a romance written under the name Maxine Barry. It’s set in a riverside hotel and on a narrowboat on the Thames.
