CHILDREN explored the science which may lie behind wizardry at the Science Oxford gallery.
The museum, in St Clement’s, Oxford, sold out all its half-term activities and dozens of children and their parents worked with science enterprise education manager Natasha Verniquet to bring a bit of magic into their lives.
Using cardboard and reflective material, the youngsters made magic boxes, constructed so when you put something inside the box, and peeked inside, it was hidden.
Miss Verniquet said: “It was really good to see really young children working with their grandparents and teenagers working with their parents.”
To keep the youngsters entertained, Miss Verniquet carried out a number of tricks — including demonstrating how one nappy can hold an entire jugful of water.
