A cyclist was caught every two minutes riding through Oxford city centre without lights on their bike during the launch of a seasonal crackdown.
Police carried out stop checks on High Street between 6.30pm and 9pm yesterday.
They handed out 84 fixed penalty notices, which is the equivalent of one every two minutes.
Cyclists can have the £30 fine rescinded if they visit the front desk at St Aldates Police Station with a valid receipt to prove they have purchased a new set of lights within seven days.
