A girl attacked a shop assistant while her accomplice stole alcohol from a shop in Iffley Road, Oxford.
At about 6pm yesterday, two teenage girls entered The Local shop. The shop assistant recognised one of the teenagers was banned from the store, and confronted her. As she did this, the other girl, who was not known to the victim, assaulted her.
The offenders are white, in their teens, short, and were both wearing dark tracksuits. One of them had curly hair.
Det Sgt Matt Jarman said: “As one of the teenage girls assaulted the 19-year-old employee, the other stole alcohol. They then both fled the shop.
“There were a number of people in the shop at the time of the incident and I appeal to anyone who has not yet spoken to police to come forward.”
