Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary in Blackbird Leys Road, Oxford.
Between 1.30am and 4am yesterday, offenders broke into Martins Newsagents through a small window at the rear of the property. They forced their way into the post office section and ripped out the safe.
PC Alex Shepherd said: “At this stage it is unknown how much money was in the safe.
“I appeal to anyone who was in this area of Blackbird Leys in the early hours of yesterday morning and saw anything suspicious to contact police immediately.”
Anyone with information that could assist police enquiries is urged to contact PC Shepherd via Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to speak to police and don’t want to leave your name contact the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
