The Federation of Small Business Oxfordshire is holding an anniversary celebration event of its successful Keep Trade Local campaign.
Local businesses are invited to join FSB membersand guest speakers Karon-Louise Allen, sales director at Jack FM and Jane Lubbock, strategic procurement manager at Oxford City Council.
Margaret Coles, FSB Oxfordshire branch secretary, said: “The event is to celebrate local business and recognise the achievements of the Keep Trade Local campaign since its launch in 2008.
"Small businesses are at the heart of the Oxfordshire economy and without them there would not be thriving local communities."
Also at the event the winner of the FSB Oxfordshire Climate Change Innovation Award will be announced.
Throughout the year, the Make Money from Climate Change Roadshow has helped inspire owners of small to medium sized businesses across Oxfordshire look at climate change as an opportunity. The competition will recognise the best business idea coming from FSB Oxfordshire members on tackling climate change. The winner will be presented with a cheque for £1,500 and a trophy.
All FSB members in Oxfordshire are eligible to enter by sending a short business plan (10 pages or less) describing their business idea in PDF or Word format to sue.priest@ems2.com.
