AN interesting collection of pictures from an Oxford nursery has come to light.
Rosemary Maud, who lives in Hereford, found them among the belongings of her late mother, Agnes Jacobs.
Mrs Jacobs, who was a pupil at Oxford High School for Girls, worked as a nursery nurse in Oxford during the Second World War. She is third from the left, holding the toddler, in the back row in the first picture.
However, Mrs Maud is uncertain where the pictures were taken.
She told me: “I am not sure if the nursery is The Slade, Bartlemas or at Jesus College, but someone may know.”
Other pictures show the children enjoying themselves on the slide and having a tea party.
Even the adults seemed to get in on the act, posing for a picture on the slide.
Do you recognise yourself or anyone else? And can anyone identify the nursery?
