A car fire and a crash caused delays for drivers on the M40 in north Oxfordshire today.
Two lanes closed of the northbound carriageway were closed after a car fire on the hard shoulder between junction ten at Ardley and junction 11 at Banbury.
And further problems built up on the northbound carriageway at junction nine at Wendlebury.
Delays built up and a lane was blocked on the entry slip road due to debris on road following a crash involving a car that hit the barriers at about 7.15am.
Elsewhere in the county, a car and a motorcycle were involved in a crash at the Sainsbury's roundabout in Kidlington at about 8.45am.
And the A329 was closed both ways between Haseley Road, Little Milton, and junction seven of the M40 after a collision involving two cars near the turn for Great Milton.
Police said they expected closures would remain through the morning.
