A teenage boy has been fined after an early morning brawl in Witney.
Police were alerted by CCTV operators to a group fighting in Market Square at around 1am on Sunday.
Two 20-year-old men and a 16-year-old boy were arrested at the scene and all three were given a £80 fine for disorder.
Insp Mark Johns said: “We were immediately notified about the incident by our CCTV controllers and officers attended the scene and robustly policed the incident.
“Several arrests were made and a number of people were dispersed from the area. This type of behaviour is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated in Witney.
“As part of our on-going Nightsafe operation, we are rigorously monitoring the town’s night time economy to ensure that people can safely enjoy an evening out.
“Further arrests in relation to this incident are anticipated and I would also urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward and talk to us.”
