OXFORD: Melanie Proudfoot, head of marketing and communications at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, has won two top prizes from the Charterted Institute of Marketing (CIM).
Ms Proudfoot claimed the Top Worldwide Prize for Marketing Planning and the Top Worldwide Prize for Marketing Communications out of 3,065 candidates taking the CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing.
A former reporter with the Oxford Mail and The Oxford Times, Ms Proudfoot studied part-time at Oxford and Cherwell Valley College. (OCVC) She said: “It was seriously challenging and very hard work, especially trying to juggle the demands of my full-time job and with two children at home taking GCSEs and A Levels at the same time. My husband was heartily relieved when it was all over!”
OCVC management school’s curriculum manager, Junean Cramp, said: “We are thrilled by Melanie’s results. To have distinguished herself amongst so many students from around the world is truly spectacular.”
