A GIANT’S voice will thunder across an Oxford stage to hundreds of boos and hisses at one of this year’s Christmas pantomimes.
The Oxford Playhouse is gearing up to stage Jack and the Beanstalk from December 4 — and an animated comedy cow and over-emotional dame are among the promised highlights.
It is the fourth time former Blue Peter presenter Peter Duncan, pictured bottom with Oxford actor Richard Stacey as the giant, has directed a play for the Beaumont Street theatre and organisers are hoping for lots of laughs and cheers for Jack as he climbs the beanstalk.
Performances run until Sunday, January 17. For tickets and information see oxfordplayhouse.com l See Page Eight for news of a local youngster appearing on television.
