Wantage were made to work very hard for the points in this hard fought and very enjoyable to watch match.
Wantage took the lead when Lewis Collins smashed the ball into the back of the net from a tight angle.
Kennington stood firm against the Wantage attack and started to play there way back into the game and the 1st half ended with just the one goal to seperate the teams.
Into the 2nd half and chances for both teams with the Kennington keeper Spike Mountain being the busier of the two goalies pulling off a string of top class saves .
James Webster struck fifteen minutes into the 2nd half with a well taken goal to make it 2-0 to wantage , but kennington were still very much in the game and continued to push forward looking for goals of there own.
Ryan Craze, John Deacons , Will Fletcher and Jack Heggie all went close for Wantage but a solid defensive unit and goalkeeper for kennington meant the game finished 2-0 to Wantage
