THE inquest of a Witney teenager who drowned in last year’s floods was held today.
Nicholas Gardiner recorded a verdict of accidental death at the inquest of Max Sullivan-Webb — also known as Max Weeden.
The 17-year-old, of Judds Close, was playing with friends Daniel Martin, now 17, and 12-year-old Connor Lawler on Tuesday, June 3, in flooded fields off Eastfield Road.
Max, a former Wood Green School pupil, became stuck in a culvert.
It took four firemen to pull him out.
Mr Gardiner said: “This was clearly an accidental event.”
