The number of Oxfordshire people out of work and claiming Jobseekers’ Allowance has fallen slightly.
Latest figures released by the Office of National Statistics show 9,240 people claimed benefit in September, 68 fewer than in August.
But there are still 4,817 more people on the dole than in the same month last year.
Nationally, the claimant count rose by 20,800 to 1.63 million, the lowest increase since May last year.
