“A BIG show, in a smaller tent” was the way illusionist Ross Presto used to describe the circus visiting Carterton this weekend.
After an absence of more than 15 years, Circus Fiesta returned to Alvescott Road Recreation Ground yesterday.
It has brought with it jugglers from Mexico, the Bugrovi sisters from Russia and Mongolian gymnasts team, the Gymnastics Fantastics, pictured with Jerry the Clown.
Mr Presto said: “What we have got is a full show. Some people see the smaller tent and assume it’s a smaller show.
“With Circus Fiesta we are able to show the best of the acts from all over the world.
“Now we have been able to compact the full show into the smaller venue, which is quite a feat in itself, we can bring the show to these places.
“It is a big show, in a smaller tent.”
Other acts include a live band.
The circus will remain in Carterton until tomorrow.
Tickets can be bought from the box office on 0844 4155228.
