James Price who runs Perdiswell Farm, Woodstock, is celebrating after being named Young Farmer of the Year at a top awards ceremony.
Mr Price, 30, scooped the honour for his “personable approach and his pioneering spirit” at the Farmers Weekly Awards held in London.
The judges said: “Talking to James, you gain the impression early on of a highly intelligent and visionary young farmer. He is someone whose considerable technical abilities and creativity will continue to take our industry forward.”
Also picking up an award was Charlie Baker of family-run business RC Baker based at Barford St Michael, near Banbury.
Mr Baker impressed the judges with his willingness to embrace new ideas and technology.
