DETECTIVES have doubled a reward as they appeal for more information into a brutal murder in Banbury.
Kevin Lavelle, 29, of Merseyside, was battered to death at Cricketer’s Arms pub, in Grimsbury, five years ago.
Police travelled to Pontypridd, in Wales, today to launch an appeal for help as officers believe vital witnesses from the area were at the pub at the time.
Detectives have doubled their share of the reward for information that leads to a conviction from £10,000 to £20,000.
Mr Lavelle’s family have added £10,000 to the reward.
Anyone with information should contact police on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
