HOPEFULLY the Highways Agency is paying more than just lip service to residents of Abingdon in its agreement to look at ideas on improving the Lodge Hill junction of the A34.
The junction is no longer fit for the requirements of the area.
In reality, it only does half of what it should.
It causes such an unnecessary knock-on by heaping so much traffic into the rest of the town that both the Highways Agency and Oxfordshire County Council must come up with a plan to upgrade Lodge Hill once and for all.
