IT IS somewhat ironic that Mr Honey (Mail, September 29), criticises Christians for questioning Philip Pullman’s views on God and then proceeds to do exactly the same to their tenets of belief!
Mr Honey clearly knows some of the Bible well and dismisses it, while citing science as proven, which in some areas is a fallacy. The debate will go on ‘til the end of time. Would he think more highly of us, as Christians, if we neglected to defend our faith?
I would just propose two questions: l Where did the breath of life come from? and l Who is the final arbiter of good and evil?
As we take our last gasp it might be worth knowing!
