Law firm Blake Lapthorn is running a third series of breakfast seminars, focusing on some of the most important climate change issues today.

The purpose of the events is to bring together the academic community, local government, professionals, business owners and others to discuss the impact of climate change and related issues in an informative but informal environment.

The series kicks off on October 14 with Richenda Connell, chief executive and co-founder of Oxford-based Acclimatise, talking about building business resilience to inevitable climate change.

The seminars continue throughout October, November and December covering such topics as the Carbon Reduction Commitment, the state of the environment and green leadership.

Each breakfast will include a short presentation by a leading authority on a 'green' topic followed by the opportunity for questions, debate and networking.

For example, Simon Hughes, area director for the Environment Agency, is delivering his presentation on Wednesday 9 December focusing on the work of the Environment Agency in Oxfordshire and highlighting the recent report on the 'State of the Environment' for the county.

The Green Breakfasts will each start from 7.30 am at Blake Lapthorn's base at Seacourt Tower Oxford OX2 0FB. Admission is free.
