Thieves have stolen a town’s 13ft Christmas tree.
Police are appealing for help after the pine tree was cut down and stolen from Vale Avenue, in Grove, some point between Thursday night and 7.24pm on Friday, when it was reported to police.
Pc Joe Senior said: “There must be someone who saw or heard this happening.
“The tree is tall and used each year as the Christmas tree for the town and will cost about £1,000 to replace.
“Whoever did this would have required transport and I appeal to anyone who saw suspicious activity to get in touch.”
Anyone with information should contact police on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
