Survivors of the Paddington rail crash are marking today's 10th anniversary of the accident by paying tribute to the 31 people who lost their lives in the tragedy.
They have joined those bereaved by the crash to lay flowers at the accident site memorial stone in Ladbroke Grove, west London at 8.10am - the exact time of the accident.
The Great Western high-speed train had left Cheltenham Spa station in Gloucestershire on the morning of October 5 1999 bound for Paddington station in west London.
Shortly before the Cheltenham train reached Paddington it was hit almost head-on by a Thames Trains diesel train driven by Michael Hodder which had just left Paddington bound for Bedwyn in Wiltshire.
