Several weeks ago the new 20 mph signs were put up in Marshall Road, Cowley, where I live.

Unfortunately, they were attached to the only lamp post in the road – with a tree growing alongside it. The result is that the sign cannot be seen when driving up the road from Hollow Way.

I’m staggered that the people who put this up should display such poor common sense.

I appreciate that this was probably drawn up from street plans but would have expected them to have raised it as an issue.

My wife tells me that she’s seen several other instances where this has happened.
