A teenager has tap danced her way to the world championships — but needs a little help.
On November 30, Sophie Elliott, 17, above, will be heading to Riese, in Germany, to dance for her country in the tap dancing world championships. She beat off competition from scores of dancers from across the country to win a place on the England team, Tap Attack, in December.
But the 23-strong team must raise £35,000 to pay for travel and accommodation, of which Sophie, from Bicester, must collect at least £700.
Mum Wendy has organised a meal with entertainment at Shakils Indian restaurant, in Bicester, on October 19.
Tickets cost £18 and the restaurant will donate £5 per person to the fund.
To book a place for the meal or to sponsor the troupe call Mrs Elliott on 01869 241177.
