Right from the whistle both Wantage and Drayton were determined to push on strong and force attacking positions. The game showed great movement both on and off the ball with Draton pushing through on several occasions bringing out great saves by goalkeeper: Joshua Legge. Wantage battled with the game, clearing lines that allowed a determined Arthur Tilly to run hard with the ball passing the strong Drayton defence creating a one on one with the keeper; who forced a great save.
The second half was as enthusiastic as the first with more pressure from Drayton being held away by the Wantage defence. Great play on several occasions showed Wantage were still willing to drive the ball and counter the attack but with no success. Late into the end of the game Drayton pushed on strong and opened up the defence forcing Wantage back into their own area allowing a great strike from Luke Hayward to finish the game 1-0 to Drayton.
