Rolfe Harries Abingdon to Defeat
Kidlington kept up with the pacesetters in the Red League with a 3-1 away victory over a very resilient Abingdon team. The home team took the lead early on through Alex Woodham, who reacted quickest following an excellent long throw in. Kidlington equalised through Ben Owen after the keeper could only parry a strong shot from Marcus Tranter.
Just after half time Kidlington took the lead through a spectacular long-range effort from the left touchline by Callum Rolfe. Kidlington's third saw a role-reversal from their first with Marcus Tranter following up to score after a great effort by Ben Owen to leave the first game 1-3.
Kidlington had most of the play in the second match, but the Abingdon defence held firm. Luca Sykes led the line well and went close on several occasions whilst Ethan Couling and Archie Littlewood played well in midfield. Abingdon defended stoutly however, and held on for a creditable draw.
