A burst water main has left homes cut off and two schools closed in south Oxfordshire.
Great Milton C of E Primary School and Garsington C of E Primary School have closed after their water supply was cut off this morning.
Residents in the postcodes of OX9, OX33 and OX44 are suffering from either no water or low pressure. It is not known how many homes are affected.
Engineers from Thames Water are working on fixing the problem, believed to be a water main in a field near a junction on the A40 which burst at about 6.30am.
Spokesman for Thames Water, Amy Dutton, said the cause was an important 18-inch water main.
She said: “We’re working at the site at the moment to ensure water is turned on as soon as possible.”
Updates will be posted on this website as soon as they are available.
