Police investigating an unsolved murder where a father-of-two was beaten to death will launch an appeal for information in Wales.
A £20,000 reward remains for information that will lead to the conviction of the killer of Kevin Lavelle, 29, of Merseyside, who suffered more than 50 injuries following a fight at The Cricketer’s Arms, in Banbury, in June 2004.
At an inquest at Oxford Coroner’s Court earlier this year, coroner Nicholas Gardiner ruled the death was unlawful killing.
Detectives believe a group of railway engineers from Pontypridd, who were at the scene, could be key witnesses and are travelling to the Welsh town on Wednesday, October 7, to hand out appeal leaflets and posters.
Anyone with information should contact police on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
