A MAN from Wantage has been arrested after the seizure of about £2m worth of what were suspected to be amphetamines.
Officers from the UK Border Agency stopped a Hungarian lorry after it arrived at Ramsgate harbour, in Kent, on a ferry from Ostend, in Belgium, on Saturday.
A search of the lorry uncovered 440lb of the drug. Two Hungarian men were arrested and freed on bail for six months, pending further inquiries.
HM Revenue & Customs later arrested a third man at a house in Wantage. He was released on bail until January next year.
