Delays built up on several major roads in Oxfordshire today.
Hold-ups were reported on the A34 southbound between junction nine of M40 and the Botley Interchange, and on the northbound carriageway between the Abingdon North junction and the Hinksey Hill Interchange.
Heavy traffic was also reported on the A44 southbound between the A4095 Upper Campsfield Road and the A34 Peartree Interchange, and on the A40 eastbound between Barnard Gate and Cassington and on to the Woodstock Road roundabout.
Delays were also reported on the M40 southbound between junction ten at the Cherwell Valley Services and junction nine at Bicester.
