Police tonight appealed for witnesses after two robberies on pizza delivery men in Banbury at the weekend.
At 8.35pm on Saturday, two men approached a 29-year-man who had just delivered a pizza in Ribston Close.
The men, who were wearing hooded tops, asked for directions, then threatened him and demanded he hand over his mobile phone and some money.
The man handed over about £5 and a Samsung mobile phone.
At 9.30pm on the same night, a 28-year-old man was delivering a pizza to an address in Mold Crescent, Bretch Hill, when a man came up behind him, grabbed him and took the pizza.
As this happened, the man dropped his money pouch which the man picked up before running away.
Det Sgt Chris Whitwell said: “Fortunately on both occasions there were no injuries.
“At this stage we are keeping an open mind as to whether these incidents are linked.
“I appeal to anyone who might have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time, to contact me.”
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Det Sgt Whitwell at Banbury police station, on 0845 8 505 505. If you do not wish to speak to police or give your name, contact the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
