Eighteen drivers were caught speeding on the B4009, Chinnor Road, in a speed check operation today.
The operation was run by PC Mark Pilling, Road Safety Constable for Oxfordshire, between 8am and 10am.
The check was arranged in response to concerns residents had voiced to their neighbourhood officers at action group meetings. The road has a speed limit of 30mph.
The operation was run by PC Mark Pilling, Road Safety Constable for Oxfordshire.
PC Mark Pilling said: “This check was in response to concerns raised by the community, and we were acting on those concerns today. Speed limits are there for a very good reason, and people that break them will be caught and punished.
“I will continue to support the neighbourhood specialist officers in their efforts to reduce speed where drivers ignore the limits.
