TEDDY bears and their owners enjoyed a picnic to raise cash for two charities.
Julia Durbin Nursery held the event at its Churchill Hospital site, in Headington, Oxford, on Saturday to help raise £1,000 for Build Africa and Bliss, a premature baby charity.
Nursery manager Emma Hewer said: “We feel the nursery we have and the children who use it are so lucky.
“We have resources and beautiful grounds. We think of Africa where they can’t even afford to buy pencils and paper and I feel really passionately about it. We are really trying to push that home.”
About 80 children and their parents joined in with face painting, cake decorating and hair styling.
They could also buy cakes and ethnic food for their picnics.
