Both teams were looking for their first points of the season. Ardington started strongly and made good scoring chances but the Kennington goalkeeper and defence stood firm until the end of the first half when Findlay Kerr gave Ardington the lead. Ardington continued to dominate the play in the second half and created many good chances. Despite dogged defending by Kennington, Ardington eventually broke through and goals from Matthew Druce and Samuel Jackson made it 3-0 to the home team.
