Kidlington travelled south to Newbury and returned with all 3 points in a very entertaining game. Kiddy went three nil up before Newbury responded with a goal. Further goals from the visitors ensured they had a comfortable cushion. AFC Newbury never gave up though and scored two more goals before Kidlington put the game out of reach with their seventh goal.
Unfortunately one of the Kidlington players suffered a terrible injury when he landed awkwardly. He was taken to hospital where early news reports stated he was waiting for an operation to repair shattered bones in his foot.
