On a hot sunny morning Wantage continued there good start to the season with a 7-2 win against a plucky Summertown side.
Wantage started the faster and used there pace down the wings with 1st half goals coming from Lewis Collins,David Robins ,Will Fletcher,Josh Joyce and Ryan Craze.
Summertown will of felt unlucky to of been going into half time 5 down as they created numerous chances throughout the half and were thwarted by some last gasp tackles by the Wantage defence (indeed the wantage left back was wantages man of the match).
Into the 2nd half and wantage began to tire( the curse of sleepovers!!) allowing Summertown far more possession of the ball and they were rewarded with 2 well taken goals from Aidan Bradley and Sean Fairns.
Wantage extended the lead and finished the game off with a neat finish from Will Peck and a poachers goal from John Deacons .
In between all this there were chances for both sides and both teams worked extreamly hard in the mid morning heat to keep trying until the final whistle.
On the whole a deserved Wantage win but a 5 goal cushion certainly flattered them and on another day Summertown could of added more goals to there tally
