AN EVENT to turn brides-to-be into wedding belles is being held this weekend.
The Oxford Mail Wedding Fair will offer a feast of information on all aspects of a couple’s big day.
The event is being held at the Spread Eagle Hotel, in Cornmarket, Thame, on Sunday and follows a successful fair at the same venue in April.
Entry and parking is free and guests will be given a glass of Bucks Fizz on arrival while a jazz band plays in the restaurant. The event runs from 11am to 3pm.
All brides-to-be will be handed goodie bags and will get a free entry into a draw to win a host of prizes, including a meal for two at the Spread Eagle and a spa day for two at Fredrick’s Hotel in Maidenhead. One bride will also win a voucher entitling her to 25 per cent off a full wedding package at the Spread Eagle.
Among the exhibitors’ wares on show will be chocolate fountains, flowers, jewellery, menswear, bridal wear and photography.
Exhibition manager Rachel Legg said: “We ran our first wedding fair of the year in April at the same hotel and we had more than 50 brides and 150 visitors.
“This event offers a fantastic opportunity to plan everything for your big day, and take a look at all the elements of it all under one roof.
“The goodie bags will also contain a wealth of information and leaflets about your special occasion to take away.”
