Sir – In your letters pages over the last few months I have seen many negative comments about students and the creation of ‘student ghettoes’. Headington and East Oxford Residents’ Association, amongst others, quick to blame students, but forget to mention that the reason the student accommodation is available is because their former neighbours took a quick profit and sold to landlords.
Don’t blame the students, they bring valuable income and jobs to Oxford; we should welcome them with open arms.
