A FLOWER shop in Oxford has been splattered with paint in what its owners called a “sinister” attack.
Mac and McKay, which opened in London Road, Headington, in March, was attacked sometime on Monday night.
Owner Alison McKay, found out about the attack when a friend called her early yesterday. She said: “They have thrown this horrible sticky black paint all over the front and rear of the shop.
“They have also thrown it all over the plants at the back of the shop.
“I have no idea why anyone would have done it.
“It just seems a bit sinister to me. “ Thames Valley Police spokesman Claire Gourlay said officers from the Headington neighbourhood team were investigating and going through CCTV recordings.
A window was also smashed at a neighbouring house on Saturday night, but police said last night that they were not linking the two incidents.
