Kidlington recorded their first win of the season with a fine footballing display at Kennington.Kidlington dominated from the start and poor finishing prevented them taking the lead on a number of occasions. The Kennington goalie was busy as Kidlington produced a number of lovely passing moves.
Kennington however scored first when a defensive lapse left the Kennington sriker free in the box to smash the ball home.Kidlington continued to press after this and further chances were missed. Sam coming closest as he saw his free kick tipped over the bar.
The second half started much the same with Kidlington continuing to create, and miss, numerous chances. Eventually Lloyd put one of these away and then grabbed the winner with a well taken finish.
Overall it was a deserved win for the Comets against a spirited Kennington side who never gave up and continued to look dangerous on the break. Solid defending from Ellis and Mitch kept them at bay late on.
